Hannah Ramirez - President
Name: Hannah Ramirez
Year: 3rd year
Major: English Education
My dream job is to travel the world and teach. I hope to get Masters degrees in both Education from Brown and Linguistics from Oxford. I dream of living a life that is focused on living as many experiences as possible and also changing peoples' lives for the better in the process. My life goal is to make a positive impact on as many people as possible, no matter how small.
I accomplished my long-lived dream of taking piano lessons at 8, and started playing percussion in 6th grade. Percussion came to envelop my life. I began marching in my local high school's Marching Band and Percussion Ensemble in 8th grade, and continued my membership in both through my senior year. I also played in the Jazz and Symphonic Band for my high school. I was drum major my senior year, and received the John Phillip Sousa Award for superior musicianship. I now march both in both the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble and Drum and Bugle Corps, and teach at the Northern Colorado Academy for Marching and Percussion.
My favorite genre of music is definitely alternative, but I do tend to enjoy all music to some degree.
I joined SAI because I felt that I lacked female friendship in my life and wanted a place where I could casually pursue my love of music without feeling pressured to be the best.
My favorite thing about SAI is that it has provided me with so many powerful connections with amazing women, and I don't think I would have been able to make it through college without my sisters. I've also made so many friends within the larger Fraternity and Sorority community at CSU. I love having the connection to a community that SAI provides me.
Some weird facts about me is that I always double knot my shoelaces, and I always keep a pair of boots, a lighter, and a knife in my trunk in case I want to go for a spontaneous hike or need to survive a zombie apocalypse.

Mallory Connors - Vice President of Membership

Year: 3rd year
Major: Music Therapy
Minor: Spanish
My dream job is to be a Music Therapist! I hope to work with kids in some aspect, be that through a children's hospital, a school district, a special needs center, I'm still exploring options as I have some time left until I finish my degree. But I've always loved kids - I've babysat since I was twelve and worked two years being a Play, Music, and Art teacher at Gymboree Play and Music of Denver and absolutely adored the connection and the fun with the little ones, so I think I'll just keep on with that! My passion for Music Therapy was really catalyzed when a friend died. I dealt with it and tried to bring my friends together to deal with it through music making, and it really helped me through the grieving process. I saw the power of music to bring people together through tragedy and that spurred me on to transfer to CSU and pursue my dream.
I took piano lessons from age 7 to age 12 and got the basics of reading music and playing there and then took accordion lessons for about six months when I was thirteen. I taught myself guitar in high school and ukulele in early college, but I've always loved to sing and when I came here decided to make Voice my main instrument. I've now been in some sort of a choir for two years straight and this semester I'm in two - University Chorus and Concert Choir as well as taking private voice lessons. I'm loving it, and learning so much! Being here at CSU has inspired me to organize more musical events so to date I've hosted two open mic nights at the Ramskeller and am in the process of starting a Musical Improv Club!
I love so many different types of music but some of my top favorites are Big Band/Swing/Electroswing, Bluegrass, World, and Alt/Indie Rock. Definitely depends on the day and mood I'm in though.
I got involved in SAI because it seemed like a really cool group of gals and I wanted to make more musical friends. It's been wonderful ever since and I love our sisterhood of weird, goofy, music nerds who take care of business and have fun in the process!
An interesting fact about me is I'm currently working on my archery skills! My boyfriend and I made a bow out of pvc pipe and some string and arrows out of wooden sticks and feathers, so I've been shooting in my yard in this beautiful spring weather!

NickyTisdall - Vice President of Ritual
Name: Nicky Tisdall
Year 3rd year
Major: Music Education
My dream job is to be able to teach and spread joy to my students through my love for music. I hope to get a Masters degree in Music Education as well as conducting. Ideally, I would really love to teach high school and be the director of my own marching program. I want to become a teacher that constantly strives to be the best possible educator for her
students, and help set them up for success, while also igniting their passion for music as well.
Throughout my time in high school, I was always the girl you could find hanging out in the band room after hours. In 5th grade, I began my instrumental experience and picked up the trumpet for the first time. Little did I know that I would still be playing after all these years. Throughout high school, I participated in marching band, jazz band, concert band and pep band. My time in marching band was largely influential in my decision to pursue teaching. I served as drum major for my final three years and received the John Philip Sousa award my junior year, making me the youngest student in our school to ever receive the award.
At Colorado State University, I have participated in numerous ensembles and will continue to do so until I graduate. I’m an avid member of the marching band and basketball pep band, while I’ve also participated in the symphonic band and concert band
for two years. I also receive private lessons every week and am a member of our Colorado State University trumpet studio under the direction of Caleb Hudson.
My favorite genre of music would probably fall under the category of alternative, but I actually can find something to love in almost any genre. If it has a banjo in it, I’m sold.
I originally got involved with SAI because of how involved the organization is with music. I’ve always had an interest in Greek life, but I knew that I didn’t want to be part of a large organization. When I found out that there was a smaller women’s music fraternity on campus, I was instantly interested in joining as a member. Our connection, love and respect for each other through our bond of music is also my favorite part of being a member of SAI.
An interesting fact about me is that I truly believe young Harrison Ford is the greatest
contribution mankind has ever been blessed with.

Kassidy King - Secretary
Name: Kassidy King
Year: 2nd Year
Major: Music Therapy with emphasis in voice
My dream job would be to open my own Music Therapy facility in Oregon and work with a variety of clients--from children with developmental disorders to elderly with Alzheimer’s.
I began singing when I was around 4 years old. Throughout middle school and high school, I began teaching myself various instruments, including guitar, piano, and ukulele, in order to accompany my singing. My interest in composing music began when I was 10 years old, and I have continued to write music for solo albums as well as folk and rock bands I play in. In high school, I took a Music Composition class for 4 years and played in a Steel Drum Ensemble for 3 years. In this ensemble, I was featured as the lead vocalist, and I toured around Southern California performing in various locations including Disneyland, the San Diego Del Mar Fair, and on Fox 5 News. At CSU, I sing in various choirs and am currently a cast member of CSU’s Fall Opera production of “Die Fledermaus”. I am also the lead singer, founder, and keyboardist for my band called “Too Quiet”.
My favorite genres of music include Classic Rock, Folk, Indie (rock), Indie-Folk, Bluegrass, Rock, R&B, and alternative
I got involved in SAI because I wanted to meet other musicians on campus at CSU and explore the musical community we have here!
My favorite part about SAI is the process of building relationships with every amazing and talented woman involved in this colony. Together, we create something bigger than ourselves and form lifelong friendships while doing so.
An interesting fact about me is that I am completely obsessed with Halloween and I celebrate it everyday of my life.

Bethany Roof - Treasurer
Name: Bethany Roof
Year: 4th year
Major: Pre-vet Equine Science
My dream job is to have a sport horse veterinary practice that works with aromatherapy, acupuncture, massage and chiropractic work as well as modern medicine.
With music I am involved with the CSU Marching Band, the CSU Basketball Pep Band, and the Concert Band. I have played the flute and piccolo since 2006.
My favorite Genres of music are country, classical, and soundtracks, but I will listen to just about everything depending on my mood.
I chose to get involved with SAI because I have always been interested in Greek life but none of the already established sororities on campus interested me.
My favorite part about SAI is to create the bonds of sisterhood through a similar interest in music. All of us love music and respect music which brings us all closer together than other Greek life chapters that are merely social.
Some interesting facts about me are that I was a member of the gold medal team at the Equestrian Junior Olympics (NAJYRC) in 2012, I was homeschooled since third grade, and I have a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Cassidy Koolmees - Editor
Name: Cassidy Kolmees
Year: 4th year
Major: Psychology and Sociology with concentrations in mind, brain, and behavior and criminal justice; focus in cognitive neuroscience of music
My dream job would be working in a neuroscience lab using music to help patients with brain damage on a neural level.
I've been singing just I was born, but I really got involved with music in the 6th grade when I joined band and choir. I played the flute and clarinet for three years, then switched to guitar and have been playing since! I also have sung in various choirs as an alto (high notes scare me...) and play gigs with friends on the weekends!
My favorite type of music is everything but hard core twangy bluegrass - like banjos everywhere bluegrass. Other than that I love just about everything :)
I got involved in SAI because I missed music, as well as wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself at CSU. Who knew I'd be getting a whole second family in the process!
My favorite part about SAI is how connected and fun we all are. SAI is one of the few places where I feel I can be myself openly and be accepted and loved no matter what!
An interesting fact about me is that I really love organizing things - I'm talking rooms to desks to binders to closets and everything in between. I'm a neat freak and I love it!

Emma Loeffler - Sergeant at Arms
Name: Emma Loeffler
Year: 3rd Year
Major: Sociology and Music
My dream job would be becoming an Occupational therapist who specializes with little kids in the school setting.
I’ve been in music classes since I was a little kid. I played piano all throughout elementary school, and then joined band in 5th grade. Ever since, I have been a die-hard percussionist. I played with my high school marching band, marched with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, and played with the Blue Knights Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Now, I continue to play music as a Percussion major here at CSU.
My favorite kind of music is, as everyone says, pretty much everything. My all-time favorite singer though is Ella Fitzgerald.
I got involved in SAI because the president, Hannah, pretty much forced me to!
Even though I didn’t necessarily want to join SAI at the beginning, I have come to find that the people that I get to interact with everyday are some of the best people I have ever known! We share a common love of music as well as a common respect and love for one another.
An interesting fact about me is that I will forever have a deep and penetrating love for Pocahontas.
